CANW is here to inspire young lives and change their futures
We’ve provided over 27,000 interventions across our service areas, supporting children, young people and vulnerable adults over the last year – making real and measurable differences to lives up and down the country.
Whilst some of the impact we’ve made is hard to quantify, we work hard to measure and analyse the change we’ve made to those we work with and put our Participants Voice at the centre of everything we do.
Care & Accommodation
We found loving and safe foster families for 57 children
100% of the Birth Families maintained their contact with their children
We welcomed 7 new Foster Carers into the CANW Family
Emotional Health and Wellbeing
We have a team of over 40 dedicated practitioners tackling the pressures and educating on Emotional Health & Wellbeing
Our Emotional Health and Wellbeing work has supported 539 children aged 4-11 and 897 young people aged 12-25
Our team of 34 individuals work across the North-West in 126 Primary and Secondary schools
99% of children age 4-11 and 97% of young people felt the service has had a positive impact on their emotional health and wellbeing
Young Carers
Since we increased the group night to a six‑week programme, attendance has remained steady each week, showing reliable engagement from the young carers.
Young carers who receive 1-1 support from our service are more likely to feel heard, understood, and confident in managing their caring responsibilities.
Our Young Carers group nights continue to create a positive space where young people feel supported, valued and understood.
Family Services
PATH - Engagement numbers remain stable and our social media posts about our support group now reach three times more parents than last term
SPRING - Co‑parents were able to gain support in stabilising their communication, leading to more positive, consistent, and child‑focused interactions.
ICFA - 456 families were supported through ICFA in 2025
