All roles within CANW have a responsibility for the safeguarding of children and adults.

Job description and Person Specification attached. This role will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check against the Child’s Barred List.  This post will be advertised internally, with Indeed, on the website and circulated to CVS/Blackburn Jobs bulletin.

Through support from the Big Lottery fund and the European Social fund we run a number of exciting projects to support the delivery of the Invest in Youth programme. CANW is a registered children’s charity (no 222533) working across the North West region offering a range of innovative and creative services that support children, young people, families and communities.

For young people finding employment can be both a challenge and an achievement. The CANW Invest in Youth Programme offers support to young people for whom barriers exist in the search for a job. Many young people will not be in employment, education and training and this programme seeks to change that.

As a practitioner, you will offer information, advice, guidance and support to young people referred to the programme. The ideal candidate will have experience of face to face work with young people from different backgrounds and cultures and be able to enthuse and motivate to help bring about positive outcomes for young people, whether that be into employment, training or enterprise.

In return CANW offers excellent training and development opportunities, regular supervision, support from experienced managers and the chance to develop a modern, innovative programme creating excellent opportunities for young people.
