Appropriate Adult (Lancashire)

Posted 1 month ago

Appropriate Adults are needed when a parent is not able to attend a police interview involving their child.

Sometimes they can’t be present because they’re a witness or somehow involved in the case. So the police will ask for an AA from CANW. CANW is expanding its AA services across Lancashire, Greater Manchester and Cumbria. We are seeking local people in all locations to act as AA’s for young people and vulnerable adults. You will receive full training and remuneration for the hours that you work – in return we ask that you are available for a few hours a week to attend your local Police Station when required.
